Thursday - April 30, 2009

Headed out to lunch with Noah and Stalker Dave around 11:00. Met up at Chilis and had a very delicious meal. Stalker Dave hates having his picture taken so this is all I got:

Little dude fell asleep on the way home so I put him on the couch to rest while I raked leaves out front. There's a house across the street that is vacant, and all of the leaves from that yard keep blowing over to our side of the street. Pretty frustrating. Bagged the leaves and got a lot of the front cleaned up before Allie got off the bus. Once she was home and Noah was awake, we headed over to my old school friend Desiree's house so the kids could play. These pictures are of dodgeball, which Wah Kee joined in on.

Alana borrowed Desiree's nephew's bike and took it for a spin...it had no training wheels and she just rode it like a pro. It was pretty amazing. Now she's very gung-ho about bike riding and wants her training wheels off ASAP.

Photobucket

Came home from that and ate really fast before heading out to the gym with Tim. (Mammma was at our house to watch the kids). Put the kids to bed and watched some Lost. Long day, but very fun!

Wednesday - April 29, 2009

Ahhhh, spring has finally sprung! Our new(ish) dogwood is blooming:

Photobucket

Took Noah to school and started work on the second draft of my screenplay. Marketing ideas have been submitted...next order of business is to clean up the script and break it down into a shot list so I can figure out how many days it will take to shoot. Then I have to figure out actors and other various costs and come up with a more firm budget. Things are moving right along...pretty happy right now.

Ended up skipping my power lifting class. Hooked up with my friend Katherine briefly to discuss some dog walking plans, then I went to get Noah from school. Today was his umbrella day. It wasn't warm enough for the teachers to turn the hose on the kids, but we got to see all kinds of character umbrellas. Noah's was just a striped one. :)

Took Alana to soccer and had a very snuggly man on my hands.

Photobucket

He played with rocks again, like he did last week:

Photobucket

Allie had a good practice.

Photobucket

Tim went over to his friend Mike's house for a little while after work so he could check out a guitar Mike is building. Put the kids to bed and watched some 24. Going to work on my screenplay now. :)

Tuesday - April 28, 2009

Took little dude with me to BJ's and the Mill Stores this morning to pick up some stuff we needed. Did a ton of laundry again (will it ever end?) and put everything away. Had some lunch and played, and when Allie got home, she started in on another Native American project that she has to finish. This one is a 3D village showing the types of dwellings and boats the Wampanoag Indians used.

Kyle came and played again, until I kicked him out so Allie could keep working on her project.

Tim hung with the kids while I went to Town Meeting.

Photobucket

I ended up getting up and speaking (to my own surprise) over an amendment to make Level 3 Sex Offenders move if they live within 1500 feet of a daycare, school, park, etc. I think the idea is pointless..it's not like they're confined to their homes, so what does where they live matter? Also, all sex offenders do not target children. In fact, only a small amount do. But whatever. If it makes people feel more in charge of their lives, whatever. I think they should be educating and preparing their children instead, but common sense is not so common.

I'm bummed that the town bought a cranberry bog property to use for open space. It's right near our house and looks beautiful right now...it's going to look like trash within a few years. :(

Monday - April 27, 2009

Tim had a dentist appointment to get his crown finished this morning. Perfect timing for that right after we just had to replace the dryer. *sigh*

I headed to a very enjoyable early lunch at Chili's with Ari (completely forgot to torture him by taking a picture). We discussed the drama that unfolded as well as my film since he's going to be my Production Manager. The weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and when I went to pick up Noah from school he was actually sweating from running around the playground. Yeah!

Did a lot of cleaning and laundry and other really boring stuff. The kids had Kyle over and played with their bikes in the driveway. Allie rode her bike to go get the mail and loved it. I think I found a new mail picker-upper.

I went to an independent film screening at the library after Tim got home. The film was awesome!! It was a Chinese film by Xioushuai Wang titled In Love We Trust.

My phone was misbehaving and took weird pictures, but this was supposed to be a shot of the screen:

Photobucket

The kids were still up when I got home, so it was great to be able to put them to bed. :)

Sunday - April 26, 2009

Everyone on Beg was working with Michael Berryman today...I'm sad I missed him.

I stayed home and let Tim sleep a little (don't know how I managed to function with all of the late hours I've been keeping). Tim decided to skip the Baptism he was supposed to go to (sorry Samantha! :() and we had a chill day at home. The kids played in the yard, I got some work done, Tim played video games and worked on his bass that he's refurbishing.

Took the kids to dinner because the thought struck us to do so. Tim was glad I was home. :)

Saturday - April 25, 2009

I offered to go in to work on Beg at about one in the morning, but apparently they had an over abundance of help already, so I went to bed instead. Call time for today was 5 o'clock, so I was able to sleep late then hang out with the kids and hit up soccer with the fam before work.

Photobucket

It was a beautiful day...took the kids to the park after soccer:

Photobucket

Headed to work and met Tony Moran's younger brother John finally. He's been a "friend" of mine on myspace for a while, so it was nice to finally meet him in person. Seems like a really great guy.

Did a quick shoot at the Rockland Middle School

Photobucket

and headed out to Tim Daly's back yard to shoot in the woods.

Photobucket

I covered a fake "grave" with Dave Langill

Photobucket

putting cloth and dirt on top of a wood shell that Tim and Dave built. We cut slits in the cloth for the actress to push through on her way up through the dirt.

Photobucket

It turned out really well and worked perfectly for the shot of Sandy coming up from "underground".

The night ended with some drama. It was very unfun. As a result, I decided to stay home from work on Sunday.

Friday - April 24, 2009

Spent the morning finishing Tim's mask for him. He added tentacles to his but never painted it, so I painted it green for him so he'd have something to wear. Wasn't sure which shade of green he wanted, so I just hoped for the best.

Alana had her friend Abby over for a playdate from 12:30 to 4:00. They had fun playing (and including Noah, thank goodness) and Kyle even came over to join them.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Abby wanted to check out the DVD player in the truck, so they watched five minutes of The Last Unicorn on the way back to Abby's house. They have chickens and rabbits, so I got to pet things and feed things, as did Allie:

Photobucket

Took the kids to Mammma's house after we got home, and got ready for my cousin Linda's 30th birthday party. It was the masquerade party we've been looking forward to, so I got a gift for Linda as well as my cousin Chrissy and my brother Randy so I could give them all their gifts at the same time. Some highlights...

Chrissy, who made me wear a dress because she was afraid to be the only one, then showed up not wearing a dress...yeah. Thanks. >:( and my brother Randy with his mask on:

Had a lot of fun!!!

Thursday - April 23, 2009

Another sleep late day (for the kids at least). Allie had a portrait appointment in the afternoon. She was pretty easy to photograph:

Photobucket

We had some time to kill because it was extremely busy and there was only one person working there, so we went to Game Stop to buy Uncle Randy his birthday present.

Picked out a couple of games for our new DSs. I got one about gravity...a series of puzzles solved only by thinking about how gravity works. Can't wait to try it.

Photobucket

We walked through Sears on our way, and the kids LOVED the displays with large horses, cows, and sheep. There was also artificial grass that Noah had an urge to touch:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Got some food at McDonald's (yes, two days in a row...probably the first time that's ever happened in their lives) and Allie tried the new orange milkshake. She didn't like it.

Photobucket

Noah tried to copy Allie.

Photobucket

They both make me laugh. :)

I let them both play at the free little play place in the mall for a little bit before we went back.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Headed back to Sears to choose the portraits. Allie got comfortable while we waited:

Photobucket

Once Tim got home, he and I both got dressed for the gym, but my mother never came. We figured she was tired or completely forgot, so we just hung out instead.

Wednesday - April 22, 2009

Today is my mother's birthday (Happy Birthday, Mom!) and my friend Andrew and his wife Erin's wedding anniversary (Happy Anniversary!!)

Went to my power lifting class at 11:00 and went home to clean. Finished organizing the "pantry".

Photobucket

It doesn't look like much, but it feels good to have done.

Picked up the kids and got them some McDonald's and brought them home. They played with Kyle for most of the afternoon...playing with their scooters (Allie dressed herself):

Photobucket

Photobucket

Allie and Kyle played chess:

Photobucket

and I finished my mask for the upcoming masquerade party:

Tim started his mask:

and we watched some TV. Still not very exciting. :)

Tuesday - April 21, 2009

The kids slept late again (isn't vacation great?) and we hung out doing laundry and boring stuff for a while. I packed some bags for them and brought them to their Mammma's for a sleepover. She is going to have them overnight on Friday too, but she wanted to keep them for a night in the middle of the week too. So I dropped off the babies around four o'clock and Tim and I went to our cycling class when Tim got home.

Not much to say for this day! Lazy school vacation day.

Monday - April 20, 2009

Today was the first day (not including the weekend, I guess) of April vacation for the kids. I found that picture of the Native American basket Allie made a few days ago:

Photobucket

We all slept late an had a late breakfast. The kids ran around in circles and played some video games. Alana won her Mario Kart level that she's been trying to beat:

Photobucket

We did a whole lot of nothing and then after Tim got home to hang with Noah, Alana and I went to her friend Abby's birthday party at a nearby roller skating rink. I was going to skate too (I LOVE roller skating in the rink), but I ran into some old friends there. Wah Kee and Desiree, both of whom I went to elementary school with. Turns out that Desiree lives less than five minutes from my house. Small world!

Here's Wah Kee:

Photobucket

Also ran into Keith Banks, who I see around all the time but never end up making solid plans with. He has three kids around Allie and Noah's age, so we really should change that.

The party was fun, Alana had a great time:
