Happy Birthday to Jonathan and my niece Lindsay!

Headed to Home Depot while Noah was at school. Got some paint and painter's tape so I can repaint the dining room once I'm done with the film breaking down and budgeting that I have to finish. Worked on that a lot today. What a ton of work!!

Raked more leaves, painted some toenails, caught up on a bunch of stuff I've been neglecting...enjoyed the beautiful weather! Kyle came and played with the kids after school. They played army man and used the back of my truck as home base. Love those kids.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mum's!

Went out to brunch with the fam at a breakfast place that has awesome french toast. YUM!

Photobucket

I swung by my mother's house to drop off her card and stuff. Noah got comfortable right away...

Photobucket

We headed home and Tim took the kids to see his mom. He came back with some flowers from the garden, which was super awesome!

I spent a lot of time in the yard planting flowers in the window boxes and repairing the window box that broke during the winter.

Photobucket

Planted some other plants along the front fence and raked some leaves.

Spent some time reading too...it was a very relaxing and nice day. :)

Saturday - May 9, 2009

We all slept late and then headed up to Hingham to the Apple store so I could buy a new phone. I called to double check that the theatre didn't have it before we did so.

The kids got to play with the new iPod touch. Noah had a blast playing with the games, and Allie mosied over to the iPod Nanos and listened to some stuff.

They took care of me there, hooking up the phone to my AT&T service so the phone worked before I even walked out the door. Good stuff. The camera on the new phone is much improved! Luckily, I had my contact info backed up on my computer, so I was able to put it and my music playlists on the new phone pretty quickly and easily.

Tim bought me a battery pack and protective case for the phone as well as a small portable keyboard for Mother's Day. Totally awesome stuff!!! I'm SO happy with all of it. :D He insisted on giving it to me a day early, haha.

We were supposed to have people over tonight, but they were held up at a dinner, so it was called off. Tim and I just watched some TV, so it was all good. :)

Friday - May 8, 2009

Hit up the bank while Noah was at school so I could get a savings bond for baby LeClair whose Baptism we missed. Picked up Alana's pictures from the portrait studio - they came out awesome! I'll update this with a scan of them once I have a second to do that. :)

Went to White/O'Connell Studios to have my portrait consultation. We went over the clothes I should wear, jewelry, etc. for the headshots I'm having taken. Went well.

Picked up Noah and came back home. Humid and yucky day with a little sun peeking through every now and then.

Tim got home a few minutes early and we headed out to get some food at Rick's in Randolph before we hit up the Star Trek movie with Greg Baker, Warren, and Nat. I took some pictures of this too, but lost my phone during the movie (and stupidly didn't double check my pockets before leaving!) and lost the photos with the phone.

Realized the phone was gone as soon as we got home, and Tim was kind enough to go BACK to the theatre at 11:00 at night to go searching for it. It was on vibrate, but he tried calling it and searching with a flashlight. No luck.

Thursday - May 7, 2009

Noah had his kindergarten screening this morning, so we got to his (and Allie's) school at 10:15. He went with one of the kindergarten teachers while I filled out paperwork. Got into a conversation with the President of the PTO, who was very nice.

He did a great job, wrote his name and colored a picture, skipped and jumped and bounced a ball. He had a good time. :)

Ran into Abby, Teri, and Cameron's mom in the school while we were waiting too!

We were supposed to hang out with Domenick today to ride bikes, but it's raining again, so that plan is out. I went to work continuing my switching of seasonal clothes, and Tim and I headed to our spinning class at 7pm. Blah.

Wednesday - May 6, 2009

Errands during school time, did some food shopping and prescription gathering, then took the kids over to Desiree's house after school so they could play with all the kids over in that neighborhood again. Got some AWESOME shots of them riding their bikes, but lost my phone (on Friday the 8th) and the pictures with it. :(

I spent some time trying to fix Allie's bike chain, which worked temporarily. Tim says he can fix it soon. What I did just isn't cutting it.

Took Alana to soccer practice at 4:00.

Photobucket

Hung out with Noah, who was sad that there were no hot dogs being sold at practice like there are at games.

Photobucket

Didn't stop him from being adorable. Headed over to town hall at 7:00 to sign both kids up for soccer for the fall. They're all set! Noah's excited that he's finally old enough to play too. :)

Tuesday - May 5, 2009

Today was a really boring organizational day, where I basically spent the day updating and syncing calendars, doing laundry, switching out the winter and summer clothes, and doing things like ordering stuff for Alana's birthday party. Ordered some glow sticks to give out as favors at her roller skating party. Should be cool. :)

Didn't take any pictures at all, nothing really interesting went on. It was rainy, Alana did homework, the kids played video games and ran around the living room.

Tim and I went to our cycling class while Mammma watched the kids...same old stuff.

Monday - May 4, 2009

Today was "Mother's Day Tea" day. Noah and I got all dressed up and went to a nearby function hall to meet all of the other preschool kids and their moms to enjoy some tea and goodies.

Kyle came over to play after school was out for the older kids:

They were fascinated by the neighbor riding his dirtbike. Allie and Noah both want one now. So does their mom.

I started taking all of the winter clothes out of the closets so I can put summer clothes in...yay! Glad it's finally that time of year, though I hate this process.

Photobucket

Tim made a feast for us which included roast chicken (reheated), spinach, potatoes, and stuffing!! It was soooo good!

Mike came over after dinner to play some music. They sounded good, as always.

It was a good day.

Sunday - May 3, 2009

My friend David's birthday today - Happy Birthday!! <3

Took the kids to the annual "Fish Fry" at our nearby herring run. On our way there we had a very nice lady who owns the property adjacent to the herring run tell us we could cut through her property so we wouldn't have to take the kids on the busy street. They have a little pond in their back yard that had geese and little babies too! What a treat.

Photobucket

We take their picture every year next to this sign. Someday I'll have to put them all next to each other and compare them.

We bought our tickets for the duck races (our race was #12) and got in line for some hot dogs, cornbread, baked beans, and lemonade. Ate our food while listening to the lovely music of a band who is there every year, but whose name I cannot currently think of. Love them, they are very talented.

The kids ran off to play on the big rock

Photobucket

I helped Noah climb because he was a little apprehensive (at least one of our kids is!)

A kid who lives in the same house as the previously mentioned nice lady stopped over to give Tim a CD of his band's music. Tim listened to it later and said it was extremely good. Totally awesome that the kid just gave him one for free. :)

Had some cotton candy:

Headed back through the nice peoples' yard and took some video of the geese.

The babies were so cute!

Allie and I used our cotton candy cones to make ourselves unicorns:

And the two handsome men of the family looked handsome (one with cotton candy on his nose):

Once we got home, Tim headed over to his friend Mike's to work on some guitar/bass building stuff. Then Timmah went to catch up with his old friend Tim Dorr who he hasn't spoken to in years. I made Tim join facebook and they reconnected on there.

The kids and I just hung out, didn't really do anything crazy. :)

Saturday - May 2, 2009

The kids were at their grandparents' and hit up Home Depot this morning to make some really awesome mini wheelbarrow planters...they showed up attached to some flowers in a pot, bringing a bit of happy spring into the house. :)

While the kids were perfecting their projects, Tim and I went over to the middle school to vote (for me, yay!):

Photobucket

Went to the recycling center to get rid of the leaves I raked as well as some paper and cardboard.

Photobucket

Then we headed over to a place I've been wanting to check out...an old tuberculosis hospital that's now abandoned.

Photobucket

It's easy to see how gorgeous it must have been in its hay day...I wish I could buy it and renovate the property. Love it.

Alana's soccer game was canceled due to a large amount of kids attending First Communion. Yay!a

The kids got home and got to work riding bikes and scooters. Alana is now thrilled to be able to ride her bike with no training wheels.

She rode around for a while and then I filled her tires so they'd be nice and full. They seemed a little flat.

Finally decided to scan Noah's portrait pictures and Alana's soccer portrait:

Watched the Kentucky Derby and then headed out for an impromptu dinner with Stalker Dave. Didn't realize the place doesn't take debit/credit cards and had NO cash on me. That was mighty embarrassing. :/

Stalker Dave hiding his face as usual:

Won't have many more opportunities to harass him since he's moving to Florida. I think Allie might miss him as much as I will:

Friday - May 1, 2009

Got the kids off to school this morning (Noah had his once monthly "stay and play" where he stays an extra hour and a half and has lunch at school). I worked on my second draft and went to my yoga class, then picked up Noah and brought him home. I packed bags for both him and Alana for their sleepover with their grandparents, then tossed the kids in the car to head over there.

Photobucket

Gerry recently had a second surgery on his shoulder and seems to be healing well. Looks pretty good for a dude who had surgery a couple of days ago. Hopefully the kids will go easy on him. They have their Home Depot workshop in the morning.

Found out Alana's soccer game is postponed until later in the week (rather than it being tomorrow) because most of the kids on the opposing team will be attending their First Communion. Noah's going to be pissed that he can't eat a hot dog at the game.

On my way home from dropping the kids (I miss them right now!) I saw a turkey crossing the road. He just calmly and nonchalantly walked out in front of me and took his sweet time getting across the street. Though I think it was actually a female...wasn't very brightly colored. Also got to see my little donkey friend as I passed by the farm on West Elm Street.

As soon as I got home, Soleil limped out of the bushes with an obvious injury. Oh goody. I'm supposed to walk my friend Katherine's dog before Tim gets home, but no...now I have to deal with this. So off to the vet I went with Soleil. She had a bite wound on her back right leg and one on her back that got infected. So she's on antibiotics and is doing fine.

Photobucket

Once I got home I headed over with Tim to walk El Papi...the coolest dog ever.

Photobucket

He walked us straight to our house since he recognized our scent. So cool! We let him relieve himself in his backyard and then he happily went back inside. Rascal the cat was pretty nice to us too.

Headed to Bertucci's for dinner and got there around 9:00. Had some delicious food and wine and desserts...so good...

I took a picture of Tim while we were there but totally forgot to upload it, so I'll update with that later.
